Fujairah, November 15, 2023: - The Fujairah Martial Arts Club won the Best Team Award within the Fatima Bint Mubarak Women’s Sports Award in its seventh edition, at the level of sports federations and institutions. The club dedicated this victory to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, President of the Club. Which would not have been possible without his generous and continuous support and care.
The Fujairah Martial Sports Club reached the list of the top three candidates in the Best Team category, along with the Sharjah Women’s Sports Foundation and the Baniyas Jiu-Jitsu Club team, and won the award after all criteria met its record of qualitative achievements and successes.
Nader Bu Shawish, Director of the Fujairah Martial Arts Club, said: “We are happy with this victory, which we consider to be a prestigious medal and a distinguished honor from the Fatima Bint Mubarak Award for Women’s Sports, which came after an honorable march of sporting achievements in the sport of martial arts, thanks to the support and guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, and his constant encouragement of the club’s talents and athletes to participate in regional and international tournaments and competitions, and to win important local and international awards.”
Bou Shawish pointed out that winning this award is a valuable addition to the club’s balance, and is evidence of the full attention that the wise leadership of the Emirate of Fujairah gives to the female component, and empowering them with all the tools and capabilities to compete in tournaments and participate in various awards, thus consolidating Fujairah’s position on the sports map.
The Fatima Bint Mubarak Women’s Sports Award, which is organized by the Fatima Bint Mubarak Women’s Sports Academy in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, is the first of its kind in the region, and enjoys a distinguished position in the sports sector, due to its importance in empowering and promoting women, developing their sports talents, and advancing their skills to the highest levels.
