The Sharjah Club for Individual Games won the first place for the men’s category, and the Fujairah Martial Arts team won the first place for the female category in the UAE Open Taekwondo Championship, which was held last Friday and Saturday, at Ittihad Kalba Club hall, with the participation of 75 players, representing various clubs of the country in the first launch of the new season for taekwondo.
In detail, the results of the tournament were as follows. In the men's category, the Sharjah team for individual games continued the march of excellence by winning the first place, after collecting 5 gold and two bronze, while Fujairah Martial Arts ranked second with two gold, two silver and three bronze, then the Kalba Union in third place. With two silvers and five bronzes, the Sharjah Self-Defense Sports Club ranked fourth with gold, silver and two bronze.
As for the female competitions, the Fujairah martial arts players won first place with 4 golds and 4 silvers. The Sharjah team for individual games won second place with 3 gold and a silver, then the Kalba Union in third place with 2 silver and 5 bronze, and Ajman team ranked fourth with gold and 4 bronze.
