Fujairah organizes the state championship for juniors and youth today

The Emirates Boxing Federation, in cooperation with the Fujairah Martial Arts Club, is organizing the state boxing championship for the junior, youth and promising category, which will be held in the sports hall at Asim bin Thabet School in Fujairah. As well as some specialized centers from Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah under the supervision of the Technical Committee of the Federation and will continue until tomorrow, and is considered the first activity of the Federation for the current season.

Hassan Al Hammadi, Secretary-General of the Boxing Federation, confirmed that they rely a lot on organizing this tournament at the beginning of the season because it comes within the federation’s strategy to build the national junior team and strengthen the youth team with new boxers that can be explored through it, and indicated that holding the tournament in Fujairah is related to the federation’s desire to expand the area. The geographical area of the game, where we have a tendency during the coming period to distribute tournaments to the emirates of the country, in addition to Fujairah’s strong base in the game of boxing, and Al Hammadi thanked the Fujairah Martial Arts Club for hosting the tournament, which is the first episode in a series of tournaments that will be organized after the competition has been completed. Adopting the league system in both the junior and youth categories to give them greater opportunities to compete among them and raise the technical level.

For his part, Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, Vice President and Executive Director of the Fujairah Martial Arts Club, expressed his happiness to hold the tournament in Fujairah and the fruitful cooperation with the Game Federation, directed to make all efforts that can contribute to the success of this hosting, based on the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah. By seeking to continue working to support all activities and games in the interest of Emirati sports.

On another line, the Fujairah Boxing Team completed its preparations for the championship through an internal camp through which it aspires to present the technical levels that befit the club's achievements since the formation of the boxing team, which has become a mine for boxers, as well as defending the first positions the team achieved during previous tournaments.

Adel Al-Ashry, coach of the Fujairah team, confirmed that 15 players representing the three categories (young, junior and promising) have been equipped, praising the continuous support that the team receives from the Crown Prince of Fujairah to contribute to the prosperity and development of the game. It works to overcome the difficulties and provide all the comforts for the players.

It is noteworthy that the Fujairah boxing team has a record of achievements at the local and international levels and represents the backbone of the national teams, with the addition of more than ten players from the team, led by Ahmed Ramadan, Yasser Al-Hamoudi and Sultan Al-Zaabi, in addition to Hadef Muhammad and Muhammad Musa, as for the junior level Rashid Ali and the brothers Muhammad Abdulwahid and Saud Abdul Wahed, and in the promising category includes Nawaf Khamis, Abdullah Al Dhahouri, Nawaf Saeed and Muhammad Khamis
