UAE stars wear gold at the end of Fujairah Jiu-Jitsu

The UAE topped the results of the second and final day of the Fujairah Open Jiu-Jitsu Championship, which was hosted by the "East Coast Bride" for the first time, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, organized and supervised by the Emirates Federation for Jiu-Jitsu Sports and the Fujairah Martial Arts Club.

The conclusion was wonderful in all aspects, including the competitive aspect that witnessed the crowning of the UAE champions with 55 medals, including 25 gold, 10 silver, and 20 bronze, in addition to the organizational aspect, which appeared in its best and most beautiful form in light of the public presence that crowded Khalifa Hall in Fujairah, which reached about 1,500 spectators during the morning and evening periods, in addition to the prominent media coverage by various media outlets from inside and outside the country.

After the end of the competitions, Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, Vice President of the Asian and UAE Federations for Body Building, crowned the winners of the competitions on the last day of the championship, in the presence of Mohammed Salem Al Dhaheri, Vice President of the Emirates Jiu-Jitsu Federation, and Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, Vice Chairman of the Fujairah Martial Arts Club. And the CEO, and a number of sports movement symbols and officials in Fujairah.

Sheikh Abdullah Al Sharqi expressed his happiness with the outstanding technical level presented by the players, describing it as distinctive and interesting, praising the efforts of the Organizing Committee to take out the competitions in a way that reflects the status of jiu-jitsu sport at the local and regional levels and the distinguished efforts of the organizational cadre, which the emirate enjoys, stressing that Fujairah welcomed the new year in a distinctive way. By hosting the Jiu-Jitsu Championship, Al Sharqi urged the students to practice any of the sports, to be a way of their future life, and to have jiu-jitsu at the forefront of the sports they practice. He added that the insightful strategy of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah, directed that it be Sports is a vital, exemplary, civilized and way of life, and the unlimited support of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, by providing all means that support the practice of sports, led to a qualitative shift in this aspect, and perhaps the publicity of the Fujairah Martial Arts Club led many young people to practice individual sports.

The results of the team championship resulted in the Brazilian players winning second place with a total of 38 colored medals distributed over 12 gold medals, 14 silver medals and 12 bronze medals, and Russia came in third place with a total of 5 colored medals with two gold medals, and 3 silver medals. The gold medal was won by the white belt holders, Zayed Saif Al-Mansoori in the 63rd category, Nasser Burshid in the 69th category, Zayed Omar Al-Buraiki in the 77th category, Hamad Hassan Al-Hammadi in the 85th category and the open weight, Muslim Al-Rashidi in the 94th category, and Muhammad Darwish in the 94th category. Over 94 weight, in the category of the first professors Mansour Al Falasi in the weight of 75, and in the category of the second professors Ahmed Al-Musabi in the weight of 77 and the open weight, and Muhammad Al-Mansoori in the weight of 85 and Abdullah Ibrahim in the weight of over 94.

Among the women, Shifa Musa Hassan managed to get gold in the over-70 weight category. While in the blue belt, the gold medal was won by Abdullah Muhammad Muslim in the 63 weight, Saif Al Qubaisi in the 77 weight, Hamdan Al Balushi in the 85 weight, and Salem Al Hosani in the open weight, and in The first class of professors, Musabah Al Kathiri, in the weight of 77 and in the open weight, and Ahmed Ibrahim Abdullah in the weight of 94, and in the category of the second professors Jassim Saeed Mubarak in the weight of 77 and in the open weight.

Also among the women was Shamsa Hassan, in the 55th category, and in the purple belt, Zayed Al-Kaabi won the gold medal in the 94th category and in the open weight.

As for the silver medals, the players Mohammed Al-Hamaleen in the 63 weight, Abdullah Mubarak Al-Mansoori in the 94 weight, and Zayed Al-Breiki in the open weight, and in the first masters category Abdullah Ismail in the 77 weight, Hamad Al Falasi in the open weight, and in the second masters category Muhammad Al-Shehhi in the weight above 94.

Jassim is happy to win

Jassim Saeed, Al Jazira player, expressed his happiness for winning two gold medals during the first Fujairah Open Jiu-Jitsu Championship, and said that he returned three days ago from Europe, after participating in the Portuguese Lisbon Championship, in which he won fourth place, and from there he headed towards Fujairah to participate in the event that is being held for the first time. The first in the emirate, noting that he is happy with this coronation. He thanked the organizers and the Fujairah fans, which was the fruit of the tournament, as he put it.
