For the first time, six Emirati women participate in the Fujairah Triathlon

Six Emirati women will participate for the first time in the second edition of the Fujairah International Triathlon Championship, which starts next Saturday on the Fujairah Corniche, and they are Asmaa Al-Janahi, Noha Luqman, Masooma Jaafar, Maryam Al Zarooni, Aisha Al Muhairi and Tami Al Harithi.

The tournament, organized by the Fujairah Martial Arts Club, in cooperation with the Fujairah Natural Resources Foundation, has the participation of 300 male and female players from 30 countries, including 41 Emiratis, 35 citizens in the sprint race, along with six female citizens. children.

During a press conference yesterday evening, Tuesday, the Executive Director of the Fujairah Martial Arts Club, Brigadier General Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, confirmed their aspirations in the coming years, so that the Fujairah Triathlon race would become a global worthy of the name of the state and Fujairah, pointing to their serious efforts to reach 1,000 participants after five years.

The conference, which was held at the club's headquarters, was attended by the director of the Fujairah Natural Resources Corporation, Engineer Ali Qassem, a representative of the Bludaemon Fujairah Hotel, Zahi Hamdan, the director of the tournament, the World Champion of the game Mohsen Al Ali, and the technical director of the tournament, Abdullah Al-Shamlan.

Al Zeyoudi stressed that the great support of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, for the club is what paved the way for a qualitative shift in all the club's sports at the local and international levels, including the sport of triathlon, which the club seeks through its sponsorship of the Fujairah Triathlon team, which consists of five members To become a real core for a global team that competes in all world championships.

For his part, the tournament director, Captain Mohsen Al Ali, revealed the value of the tournament prizes, which amount to 50,000 dirhams, so that the crowning of the first three places in each category for both sexes, noting that 20 referees were approved in the tournament, which will witness a global arbitration system of five systems.

For his part, Director of Fujairah Natural Resources Corporation, Engineer Ali Qassem, confirmed that their sponsorship of the second consecutive edition of the championship comes in support of all projects that serve to promote the Emirate of Fujairah in tourism and sports.

He pointed out that the Foundation is working to support most of the sports tournaments held in the emirate, encouraging them to practice sports because it is a way of life, and we seek to spread this awareness through our sponsorship of sports activities.
