The President of the UAE Federation for Body Building and Physical Strength, Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, inaugurated the Asian Junior and Women’s Boxing Championship at Zayed Sports Complex, with the participation of 230 players from 27 Asian countries, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah.
The opening ceremony included a review of the participating teams, a speech by the president of the Asian Federation, Anas Al-Otaiba, a speech by the head of the organizing committee, Muhammad Bukhatir, and a speech by the tournament director, member of the UAE Boxing Federation Board of Directors, Abdullah Al-Antali.
The tournament is organized by the UAE and Asian Boxing Federations, under the supervision of the General Sports Authority, in cooperation with the Fujairah Martial Arts Club, and the UAE national team will participate with eight male and two female boxers.
From its participation in the tournament, which is being held for the first time in West Asian countries, our team seeks to win the first places and win colorful medals after preparing through the external camp organized in Uzbekistan.
