Fujairah Taekwondo shines in Jordan International

The Fujairah Taekwondo team for the girls' category won 12 colored medals in the Al-Hassan International Open Taekwondo Championship, which took place in the Jordanian capital, Amman, with the participation of 1150 male and female players representing 28 countries from different continents of the world, as the tournament bears the classification (G1) by the International Federation.

The champions of Fujairah, in the first foreign participation, were able to represent the country in an honorable way and climb the podium by winning three gold medals in different weights. The player Mira Kharabsheh weighing 41 kg, Suad Al-Asmar and Athba Ali in the category of young women, while the silver medals were awarded to Sarah Kharabsheh, weighing 51 kg. Kilograms, Maryam Rashid, 41 kilograms, and Hala Kharabsheh’s silver medal. Shamma Hassan and Lynn Amjad won bronze in 37 kilograms, and Aisha Mubarak bronze in 29 kilograms. In the young women’s category, Badria Mohammed, Hour Bassam and Rawan Al Darmaki won three bronze medals.

Brigadier General Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, President of the Emirates Taekwondo Federation and Executive Director of the Fujairah Martial Arts Club, confirmed his happiness with the honorable results achieved by the Fujairah players, which are added to the previous series of tournaments that the state players have been achieving, dedicating the achievement to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, Honorary President of the Federation And the main sponsor and supporter of sport in Fujairah and Taekwondo in particular.

For his part, Nader Abu Shaweesh, technical director of the Fujairah Martial Arts Club, praised the spirit of determination enjoyed by the players during the competitions, which led to this success, pointing out that many observers expressed their admiration for the experience of the Fujairah Club and its role in building a distinguished sports generation, especially in Taekwondo and combat games.
