His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, stressed the importance of the international participation of athletes in various sports in competitions and competitions inside and outside the country, noting the support and follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah, for the highest achieving athletes out of belief in the importance of developing the sector. Developing the nation’s athlete status and enhancing its competitiveness indicators at the global level.
This came during a meeting, in his office in the Amiri Diwan, with players from the Fujairah Martial Arts Club participating in the ranks of the national team in the World Combat Games in Riyadh, for winning gold and silver medals in the fencing and boxing teams of the team.
His Highness congratulated the players on their victory, praising the efforts of the administrative and technical team of the Fujairah Martial Arts Club in supporting the players and encouraging them to participate in sports tournaments and achieve first places, calling on them to continue training, develop their sports skills, and reach the podium with merit.
Player Faris Al-Balushi won individual gold and team bronze, Al-Hyam Al-Balushi won team bronze, individual bronze, team silver, Mahra Abdullah won team silver, Mira Al-Hammadi won team gold, Asila Al-Zaabi won team silver, and from the boxing team, player Hussein Al-Shammar won a bronze medal.
The players expressed their happiness at meeting His Highness the Crown Prince of Fujairah, and His Highness’ constant encouragement to them towards achieving more results and positions in regional and international sports competitions.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Hamdan Al-Zeyoudi, Director of the Office of His Highness the Crown Prince of Fujairah, and Nader Abu Shawish, Director of the Fujairah Martial Arts Club.
