International Fujairah Open Taekwondo starts today

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah and Honorary President of the Emirates Taekwondo Federation, the competitions of the seventh edition of the Fujairah International Taekwondo Championship will start at nine o’clock this morning, organized by the Fujairah Martial Arts Club at Zayed Sports Complex in Fujairah under the supervision of the International Federation of the Game and the Federation of The Emirates Taekwondo activities will continue until February 3, with a record participation of 1257 male and female players, distributed among 80 teams representing 40 countries from different continents of the world.

Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, President of the Emirates Taekwondo Federation and Chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee, confirmed the completion of all preparations for the launch of the seventh edition, which will be the best in terms of record participation, organization and strength of competition compared to previous championships. He also thanked the General Sports Authority for cooperation and hosting the tournament at Zayed Sports Complex in Fujairah.
