Four players from the Fujairah Martial Arts Club were crowned with four gold medals within the ranks of the national Taekwondo team in the first Gulf Youth Games, which was held in the Emirate of Fujairah over the 16th and 17th of this April.
For his part, the director of the Fujairah Martial Arts Club said, “This achievement comes as a result of the interest of His Highness the Crown Prince of Fujairah in preparing young men and women and pushing them to the podiums.” Abu Shawish added, “We are optimistic about these distinguished results and we wish success to the rest of the players in other sports competitions within the Gulf Games.” This consolidates the club’s approach to supplying the national teams with distinguished players and thanks the efforts of the UAE National Olympic Committee in organizing such a distinguished event. It also thanks the UAE Taekwondo Federation for its effort and interest in developing the players’ skills and raising their competency.
Arwa Saleh, in the 42 kg category, Fawzia Al Balushi, in the 49 kg category, Muhammad Khalid, in the 45 kg category, and Ali Al Dhahouri, in the 63 kg category, won a gold medal each.
It is noteworthy that the Fujairah Martial Arts Club has invited more than 50 male and female players to join the ranks of the local teams in various combat sports within the Gulf Youth Games.
