Two medals for UAE boxing in the Arab Championship

Feb 16, 2019

Emirati boxing inaugurated the Year of Tolerance by achieving a new achievement in addition to the previous achievements of the game federation at the technical and administrative levels during participation in the Arab Youth Championship that was held in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, by collecting two medals, after the youth team players Saud Abdul Wahed achieved bronze in the weight over 91 kilograms and Saif Mosbeh Bronze, weighing 69 kg, in addition to the positive participation of boxer Saeed Al Hinai.

Saif Mosbeh had defeated Kuwaiti Abdullah Bassam by knockout before losing to the Egyptian Arab champion Muhammad Omar on points, while the boxer Saeed Al-Hinai gave a good technical performance despite his loss to the Algerian Sayed Ahmed, while Saud Abdul Wahed lost the final match against the Egyptian and Arab champion Ahmed Sawy points.

The Board of Directors of the Boxing Federation, headed by Anas Al-Otaiba, gifted the achievement to the General Sports Authority, the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and the boxing family in the Emirates.

Mohamed Bukhatir, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Federation and head of the team’s delegation returning from Cairo, expressed his happiness with the achievement. He thanked the efforts made by the Chairman and members of the Board of Directors of the Boxing Federation, and praised what all boxers provided during the fights, which reflects the efforts of the Technical Committee in the Federation and the training return for the winning boxers coaches. With the medals, they are the coach of the Fujairah Martial Arts Club, Adel Al-Ashry, and the coach of the Salamat Center in Al-Ain, Ahmed Abdel Salam, for the distinguished preparation of the boxers.
