Fujairah Martial Arts Club, in cooperation with the educational district, launched the project of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi to prepare the Olympic champion, based on the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, to sponsor and develop the technical and mental capabilities of talented athletes.
This came during the press conference held yesterday at the Millennium Hotel Fujairah, in the presence of Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, Vice President and Executive Director of Fujairah Martial Arts Club, Ali Khalifa Heikal, Fujairah Education Representative and Sports Coordinator, Nader Abu Shawish, Technical Director of Fujairah Martial Arts Club, and a large number of athletes and mathematicians And the media, and Al Zeyoudi began the conference by offering the highest thanks and appreciation to His Highness the Crown Prince of Fujairah for the unlimited support that contributed to a qualitative leap in all kinds of sports, especially those practiced in the Fujairah Martial Arts Club.
He said, "Today, we are launching the program of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi to prepare the Olympic champion thanks to the support, guidance and care of His Highness, in the hope that we will have Emirati champions who are able to win Olympic medals, and raise the country's flag high in international and international championships and Olympic courses." Pointing out that the project will be implemented in three phases over four years, starting with the selection of 60 players in taekwondo and judo from school students and their inclusion in the Fujairah Martial Arts Club to subject them to physical, mental and competitive tests so that 20 players are selected from them at a later time and gradually from year to year to choose the best 10 players To participate in international tournaments, while the rest of the players in the club will organize to represent it in the local tournaments organized within the country. He explained that these players will undergo an integrated scientific training program in all aspects: nutrition, health care and training to ensure their progressive level development under the supervision of a selection of qualified technical cadres.
For his part, Nader Abu Shaweesh, technical director of the club, confirmed that the time period of the program will not be limited to the next four years, but rather it is an ongoing program, and that the sports hall of the Mohammed bin Hamad School in Fujairah will be a place for training, and that the selection of talented athletes will be under the supervision of a specialized academic expert, noting. The project came into effect by selecting some emerging talents.
Ali Khalifa, representative of the Fujairah Educational Zone, expressed his happiness with this project, which comes as a continuation of the joint cooperation between the Ministry of Education and the sports sector, and that everything that would make the project successful will be provided to serve Emirati sports.
