Yesterday, the delegation of the Taekwondo team for girls in the Fujairah Martial Arts Club, and the representative of the UAE national team, left the country for the Jordanian capital, Amman, to participate in the Al-Hassan International Taekwondo Championship, which will be held from the fifth to the eighth of this July. The Hassan International Taekwondo Championship is considered one of the strongest tournaments in the world and is classified (G1) and has the participation of more than a thousand players from different countries of the world.

Brigadier General Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, President of the Emirates Taekwondo Federation, praised the selection of nine players from the Fujairah Martial Arts Club to represent the country in an international championship for the first time and urged them to perform high and honorable, commit to sportsmanship and make the best technical and physical efforts to represent the UAE in the best way, pointing out that international participation will have An important role in supporting and developing women's taekwondo, and participating in this ranked tournament will add to them many benefits.

For his part, Nader Abu Shaweesh, technical director of the Fujairah Martial Arts Club, described participating in the international championship as an opportunity for UAE girls to confirm their outstanding ability in various types of sports, especially combat, noting that just going through the experience is an achievement of the goals set to support women's sports, however, he did not rule out achieving The team's international medals.
