International Mohammed bin Hamad Jiu-Jitsu kicks off in Fujairah tonight

In the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, the competitions of the first edition of the Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi Ramadan Jiu-Jitsu Championship will kick off today at 9:30 pm, organized by the Fujairah Martial Arts Club in cooperation with the Game Federation in Khalifa Hall in Fujairah, with the participation of 300 male and female players representing 20 A country from different continents of the world, led by the UAE international champions, within and without the suit competitions. The championship, which is the second international jujitsu event in the Emirate of Fujairah after the first edition that was held in January last year, includes three categories and its competitions continue for one day. The organization announced the completion of all preparations for the start of the competitions, which are expected to have a large audience and fierce competition due to the widespread spread of the game on the eastern coast, as well as the participation of prominent players in the tournament, which is supervised by an international jury nominated by the Emirates Jiu-Jitsu Federation.

Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, Vice President of the Fujairah Martial Arts Club, confirmed his club’s endeavor to organize an integrated tournament in all aspects, especially in the competitive and organizational aspects, so that it appears in a distinctive way to be a continuation of the international championships and the great successes achieved by the bride of the East Coast on various occasions.

For his part, Yousef Al-Batran, member of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Jiu-Jitsu Federation and responsible for club affairs, considered the establishment of a new tournament in Fujairah, in addition to the technical and organizational game at the local and international levels. Exploring new skilled players to be added to the list of UAE champions in jiu-jitsu, thanking His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, for his generous guidance that contributes to the advancement of all sports, including jiu-jitsu for the better.

Nader Abu Shawish, technical director of the Fujairah Martial Arts Club, confirmed his happiness at hosting and organizing the tournament in Fujairah, pointing to all the club's cadres and in various sports working with the game federation's family in order to provide the best means of success for the tournament.
