Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi crowned the first winners in the first edition of the Fujairah International Triathlon, which was held along the Fujairah Corniche, jointly organized by the Fujairah Martial Arts Club and the Natural Resources Foundation, with the participation of 120 male and female players of different ages representing 12 countries. The results were as follows: In the men’s professional category, the Portuguese Philip Osvaldo won first place, and Venezuela’s Joseli Brih won the women’s, and in the citizens’ category, Faris Al-Zaabi won first place, Abdullah Al-Laqiti won second place and Youssef Al-Hammadi won third place.
The championship also witnessed separate competitions for the promising age groups from 8 to 12 years, and the closing ceremony was attended by Brigadier Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, Executive Director of the Fujairah Martial Arts Club, Sherif Al Awadi, Director of the Free Zone Authority, member of the General Sports Authority, Engineer Ali Qassem, Director of Fujairah Natural Resources Corporation, and Salem Makshah, Director of the Department of Works in Fujairah, and Husam Tantawy, manager of the Blue Diamond Hotel.
