Judo of Fujairah wins bronze in the Arab Championship

Nov 10, 2016

The Fujairah Martial Arts Club won the bronze medal in the Arab Judo Championship, which was hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the holy city of Mecca with the participation of 23 clubs, during which Fujairah player Yassin Mohammed managed to win the bronze medal in the weight of (73) kilograms.

This is the first Arab medal in the club's history after winning three matches against one loss against Kuwaiti champion Omar Sami, player of the Sulaibikhat Club.

The injury prevented the player Hassan Ali Khamis Al-Zeyoudi from completing the championship in the weight of (60) kg, after he won in the first round against Saudi Al-Wahda player Mu'nis Muhammad Hawsawi with the full score.

Dr. Moh Saleh Al-Mouh, technical director of the Fujairah team, confirmed that the bronze achieved by the team is a gain by all standards in light of the strong competition that the tournament witnessed, congratulating the player Yassin Mohamed.
