More than 300 Medal for the UAE at the conclusion of the International Fujairah Taekwondo

Yesterday, the curtain came down on the competitions of the sixth edition of the Fujairah International Classified Taekwondo Championship "juniors, youth and men", which was highly praised by the International Federation of the Game for the good organization and strong levels of the participating players, who numbered 835 male and female players representing 38 countries from different continents of the world.

The results of the last day resulted in the crowning of the Dubai Police team with 40 colored medals, including 28 for women, compared to 12 for men, 6 gold, 9 silver and 25 bronze, bringing the UAE champions’ tally to 98 colored medals in second place in the overall standings, while the Jordanian team won first place by collecting 101 Medal The Kazakhstan team ranked third, the Russian team ranked fourth, and Uzbekistan ranked fifth.

Thus, the UAE’s share throughout the tournament will be 315 colorful medals won by the champions of the UAE national team and clubs.

As for the individual results, the Jordanian player Ahmed Abu Ghosh won the gold in the under 68 kg weight, and the Bulgarian Vladimir won the silver in the 87 kg Uzbekistan Sharapova Mirzonzim, followed by the Kuwaiti Muhammad Mahdi and the Emirati Muhammad Hassan shared the Dubai Police and the bronze with the Uzbek Islam Yuldashev, in the 63 kg weight Russian Nikita won the gold, the Kazakh Azmat won the silver, the Saudi Hamad Al-Mabrouk and the Bulgarian Benev shared the bronze. The Jordanian Juliana Al-Sadiq won the gold in the 67kg category, and the silver went to the Norwegian Carolina, and the Emirati Shamma bin Muila from the Fujairah Martial Arts Club and Sumaya Abbas from the Dubai Police, and the Bahraini Ola and Walaa Al-Dosari won the gold And silver in the 62-kg weight category for young women, and Dubai police players Al-Anoud Yousef and Ahad Ali won the bronze, and in the 57-weight category, Lithuanian Claudia won the gold, and Kashish Malik from India won the silver, and the Kazakh girls won the 49-kg gold, Batir Ingul, and Jordan’s Ban Al-Dargami won the silver.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, President of the Emirates Federation for Body Building and Physical Strength, crowned the winners of the first places on the closing day and the general arrangement, in the presence of the Korean Cho Wongo, President of the International Taekwondo Federation, Abdulaziz Buhendi, Director of the Office of the General Sports Authority, Major General Ahmed Al-Fouli, Vice President of the International Federation, and Shakir Shalabat, Chairman of the Committee Referees, Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, President of the Emirates Taekwondo Federation, members of the Organizing Committee and a large crowd of fans of the game.

In his speech at the beginning of the closing ceremony, Al-Zyoudi expressed his happiness with the resounding success and great gains achieved by the tournament for the sixth year in a row, thanks to the splendor of the organization and the spirit of enthusiasm and determination displayed by everyone, which bodes well for the continuation of the tournament annually, especially as it has become the largest and largest classification tournament held under the umbrella of International Federation.

Abdullah Hatem, coach of Sharjah Club, expressed his happiness with the advanced technical levels witnessed in the tournament and the benefit achieved by the players of the Emirati clubs through the matches that brought them together with these internationals.

In turn, Nader Abu Shaweesh, technical director of the Fujairah Martial Arts Club, confirmed that the tournament has achieved many important gains, most notably in the organizational and technical aspect, in addition to acceptance and satisfaction by the International Federation and awarding it a grade 9 out of 10, and that the tournament provided ideal opportunities for UAE players to interact with international players. .
