The Concorde Hotel Fujairah, the luxury hotel in the heart of the Emirate of Fujairah, hosted the third edition of the Fujairah Open International Taekwondo Championship, which recently concluded its activities by hosting a tournament for players registration and awarding of prizes and a gala dinner for the organizers.
The Fujairah International Open Taekwondo Championship was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah. About 66 athletes from 58 countries competed in the third session of the championship.
The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Dr. Chang Won Shu, President of the World Taekwondo Federation, Mr. Ibrahim Abdul Malik, Secretary General of the General Authority for Youth and Sports Welfare, Mr. Nasser Abdul Razzaq Al Razoqi, President of the Taekwondo and Karate Federation of the United Arab Emirates, and a number of foreign guests .
Concorde Hotel Fujairah hosted the players registration course during the period from 2 to 4 February 2015. The hotel was also keen to provide its halls for all teams and players for training operations. It also hosted an awards ceremony for the winners and a gala dinner for the organizers on February 2, 2015.

Taekwondo is also known as Taekwondo, Korean Taekwondo is a martial art that combines fighting and self-defense techniques with sports. As it is known there are only two martial arts sports, Taekwondo and Judo, which have been included in the Olympic Games since 1992.
