After a week of continuous excitement, the Emirate of Fujairah has achieved great success in hosting the Arab Cup and the Fujairah International Taekwondo Championship
The competitions of the ninth edition of the Fujairah International Taekwondo Championship, classified as two stars, were concluded on Tuesday evening, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, at Zayed Sports Complex in the Emirate of Fujairah and organized by the UAE Federation of the game and Fujairah Martial Arts Club, with the participation of 1,790 participants representing 57 countries and 215 teams.
Today witnessed the establishment of competitions for the junior and youth category, to conclude the tournament after 3 days of honorable competition and excitement among all participants and to bring down the curtain on the Emirate of Fujairah’s hosting of the two tournaments, the Arab Cup - which witnessed the participation of 1080 players and players from 17 countries and represented 101 teams and Fujairah International, which were held over the course of whole week.
Brigadier Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, President of the UAE Taekwondo Federation, pointed to the great success of the two championships, with the testimony of the International Taekwondo Federation, the Arab Taekwondo Federation and the delegations participating in the Arab Cup and Fujairah International Championships.
