The UAE national under-17 team will participate in the World Wrestling Championship, which will be held in the Hungarian capital Budapest from July 19-25, under the supervision of the International Wrestling Federation, which comes from the interest of the Emirates Wrestling and Judo Federation headed by Mohammed bin Thaloub Al-Dari in the age sector. After the federation received the approval of the General Sports Authority to participate in the World Wrestling Championship as part of the authority's strategy in order to reach the goal that the authority seeks to serve the country.
The approval of the president of the federation on the preparation program to be held in Egypt came after the Egyptian Wrestling Federation welcomed the hosting of the proposed joint camp from the first of next July until the 11th of it at the Olympic Sports Center in Maadi, in light of the contacts made by Nasser Al-Tamimi, the Secretary General.
The mission will leave the country tomorrow noon from Sharjah Airport to Cairo. The team’s mission is headed by Muhammad Jassim, the assistant secretary, and includes: Tawfiq Al-Sayed from the Fujairah Martial Arts Club as a coach, and Shaaban Al-Sayed, the technical director of the Federation, as coordinator and referee. The mission also includes 6 players: Khalifa Muhammad Al-Hafiti, Abdullah Rashid Al Kayani, Obaid Rashid Al Yamahi, Saif Mubarak Al Mismari, Mansour Mohammed Al Kindi (Fujairah Martial Arts Club), Badr Ahmed Al Ali (Abu Dhabi Sports).
The team had concluded its camp the day before yesterday, in the Fujairah Club, which lasted for two weeks, during which the club mocked all the requirements for success for the camp, and Mohammed bin Thaloub Al-Dari’i also valued the cooperation of the Fujairah Martial Arts Club’s Board of Directors and the follow-up of Brigadier Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, President of the Taekwondo Federation, Vice President of the Club Director Club Executive for the successful camp.
